What you see in the picture is a decoration to celebrate the new year the same as that which was given to me some time ago by my friend Ciko, it is a decoration for the Japanese festival called " Oshougatsu.
Oshougatsu is one of the most important anniversaries celebrated in Japan, equivalent to Christmas in the West and is celebrated during the first 3 days January, many companies are often closed by the end of December also allow workers to return to his hometown and visit Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines.
